The fundamental activity of LOEMCO consists in conducting certification tests for the industry in order to verify that the regulatory requirements of the product (CE Marking) and the additional or voluntary requirements (Quality marks) are met. Given the requirements of this task, LOEMCO has accredited by ENAC all the tests it performs for this task according to ISO / IEC 17025 "General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories".

The laboratory also performs specific services requested by our clients to study specific aspects related to the improvement of the performance of existing products. In this type of work that we call technological services, LOEMCO offers confidence and closeness to the manufacturer to take advantage of the joint experience and achieve more competitive products. There are several success stories we have achieved with our clients working on this type of "custom" projects.

LOEMCO also participates in R&D projects related to the development of new materials as part of national and international consortia that have been recipients of funds from the different public financing programs.

Within the field of standardization and therefore the establishment of specifications and requirements of products and test methods, LOEMCO has a large representation in the technical standards committees of UNE.

On the product certification side, LOEMCO is a regular member of the numerous committees, to which it provides its extensive experience in materials testing and its impartiality as an independent body.

LOEMCO performs a fundamental training activity for the E.T.S.I. of Mines and Energy. There are many students who over the years have carried out their business practices and their Final Degree Projects temporarily integrating in the different departments of the laboratory.

Additionally, the laboratory provides training in test and analysis techniques to organizations that request it through closed courses or adapted to the needs of the applicant. An example of this are courses for aggregate testing and chemical analysis.
